At the Centre for Children’s Happiness (CCH), we believe that play is more than fun — it’s healing, empowering, and essential. That’s why we proudly implement TeamUP — a global, evidence-based intervention (developed by War Child Holland, UNICEF Netherlands and Save the Children Netherlands) that supports children facing adversity through structured, movement-based play.
TeamUP is active in over 25 countries, helping children recover from psychosocial problems, stress, and displacement — and since 2022, CCH has brought it to life across Sri Lanka.
Over the past 4 years, we’ve:
Trained over 150 skilled facilitators nationwide
Reached thousands of children in children’s homes, schools, rehabilitation centers, and communities
Built safe, inclusive play spaces where children can build resilience, emotional strength, and a sense of belonging
“When I play in TeamUP, I feel like I can breathe again. I feel safe,” shared a young girl from a local center.
From war zones to local classrooms, TeamUP is restoring welbeing, hope, connection, and well-being — and at CCH, we’re proud to be part of this global movement.
Let’s continue to TeamUP for every child in Sri Lanka.
